Name: Dylann Tharp
Sport: Soccer

Oregon Daily Emerald: Best player you’ve ever played against?
Dylann Tharp: Jen Cameron. I play against her in practice.
ODE: You’re usually one of the most intimidating people on the field. Who intimidates you?
DT: Tara (Erickson, the women’s soccer coach) intimidates me sometimes. Just because she has so much experience as a coach and a player, and I always want to please her and make her proud and if I don’t, I feel the wrath.
ODE: If you could be any Oregon athlete for a day, who would you be and why?
DT: Cole Linehan from the football team. Just so I could try to sack all the other quarterbacks.
ODE: What’s the funniest thing an opposing player has ever said to you?
DT: “Get off me, you’re a beast!” from an Eastern Washington player.
ODE: Your mom is ESPN’s Shelley Smith. Who’s the most famous athlete you’ve met through her?
DT: I met Michael Jordan when I was 12 right after the Bulls played Seattle, in Las Vegas. I also met (Brazilian soccer legend) Pelé at the World Cup this last summer.
