The ASUO Programs Finance Committee convened on Tuesday and approved the mission and goals statements of several groups, including the Designated Driver Shuttle, the Women’s Center and the International Resource Center, among others.
The PFC allocates funds to student programs from incidental fees paid by students each term. Groups whose mission and goals statements are approved may advance to the funding hearings.
The PFC also approved the Child Care Subsidy, the Crisis Center, the Vietnamese Student Association, Programs and Assessments, Hawaii Club, ASUO Executive and itself on Tuesday.
PFC Chairman Jared Axelrod led the group in the meeting, which approved the mission and goals statements of each group by a unanimous vote of 5-0.
ASUO Programs Administrator David Goward, interim director of DDS, also made a short presentation of the mission and goals statement on behalf of his organization before it was voted on and approved.
The PFC will begin forming budgets for the student programs and groups next week.
