McLain-SunOwen ticket is the best choice to run ASUO
I’ve watched student government on campus for four years now and developed some opinions. We need the ASUO to provide specific benefits to students, not more vague calls for change.
Emily McLain and Chii-San SunOwen are the candidates with the abilities, relevant experience, and commitment to advocate for student-friendly policies – things like protecting the Student Recreation Center hours and keeping tuition affordable. I trust them because both McLain and SunOwen have state and national experience advocating for access and affordability to higher education and affordable textbooks.
McLain and SunOwen have worked with students from across campus to compile common interests, concerns and demands. Through discussions with student groups and individual students like me, McLain and SunOwen have collaborated with students on what we need from the ASUO. Their work ethic and commitment to open dialogue are what we desperately need in our student government.
Students at the University face real challenges, including skyrocketing tuition and threats to vital student services like the Recreation Center. We need an Executive with real solutions, and that’s why I’m voting for McLain and SunOwen in this Spring’s elections.
