Early risers to campus witnessed several fire trucks and ambulances swarmed around Allen Hall and the intersection of 13th and University streets around 8:30 this morning.
The cause of the commotion: A short-circuited light bulb let off a small amount of smoke inside Allen Hall, a fire official said.
The building was evacuated but students were let in shortly after firefighters investigated the smoke.
