On Thursday and Friday, the Oregon State Board of Education will hold its monthly Board Finance and Administration Committee meeting in Salem.
Action items on the agenda include a report on Investments, Managerial Reporting and a report on the Chancellor’s Office Fund Balance.
The lone report item on the agenda is the Oregon University System Internal Audit Progress Report, to be delivered by Patricia Snopkowski, Executive Director of Internal Audit.
Three audits are currently in progress at the University of Oregon. They involve the Department of Public Safety, Post-Award Accounting and Technology Transfer. Snopkowski declined to discuss specifics of the audits until the board has reviewed them.
The purpose of these internal audits is to ensure the OUS management is performing its duties of financial reporting, ensuring effective and internal controls, and complying with laws, regulations and ethics.
