As part of the Student Recreation Center’s Fitness Week, University women will have the opportunity to explore the East Weight Room during a workshop designed to familiarize women with strength training machines, free weights and other fitness tools.
The two-hour program, called “Women on Weights,” will be held Nov. 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Women will have exclusive use of the weight room, one-on-one instruction from personal trainers and will receive a fitness manual with exercise descriptions, information on nutrition and tips on creating a personalized workout plan. Participants will learn weight room etiquette and the importance of weight-bearing exercises for overall health.
