The University women’s tennis team had a rough weekend on the court as it dropped three straight matches in as many days.
The Ducks scored their only two points of the weekend when they matched up with Cal Poly on Thursday afternoon. Senior Carmen Seremeta took the No. 1 singles match over No. 72 ranked Brittany Blalock, while freshman Trudie du Toit picked up another win at the No. 6 singles spot.
Oregon lost the match 5-2 and was unable to recover over the next two days against two top-10 teams. No. 10 Stanford and No. 8 California both swept the Ducks with ease as they each picked up 7-0 wins.
Oregon will look to bounce back in its final Pacific-10 Conference matchup against the No. 40 Washington Huskies on Sunday.
