Briefly explain your platform.
The seat hasn’t been filled for the past two years and I want the opportunity to bring education back — that’s my slogan. ASUO needs to do more to help the community and students in on-campus housing.
What qualities and experience qualify you to be an ASUO senator?
I was in politics in high school. I’m part of the Oregon Think Tank. We put on three conversations per term in housing.
What are your thoughts on the purpose and size of the student incidental fee?
It’s a little high. I believe every student believes that. But I also strongly believe the Senate wouldn’t make the decision on that price unless it was strongly needed.
How will you ensure that you are representing your constituents’ interests?
I am focused on the community and the school as a whole and getting its word out. I love talking to students and getting the opportunity to hear what they think.
What are some major issues facing education majors and how would you address them?
Cuts in programs is a big issue, along with losing 24-hour library. I feel if that’s a situation that has to happen because of funding, it should be open more hours on the weekends.
