The relatively substantial turnout in the ASUO primary elections last week could be seen as victory for student interest and involvement, as well as for improving ASUO transparency and accountability.
But the race isn’t over.
The Emerald editorial board believes many more students still can and should express their interest in the ASUO’s future. We urge those students who voted in the primaries to vote again this week, even if their candidate didn’t advance into the general election. We believe that it’s now more important than ever that students concerned about the needs of the entire student population – rather than those of a select few groups and organizations
