The Oregon women’s golf team finished seventh at the 2009 Pacific-10 Conference Championship tournament at the Stanford Golf Course yesterday afternoon. The No. 36 Ducks were led by senior Cathryn Bristow throughout most of the weekend, while sophomore Kendra Little and freshman Ashley Edwards each had strong performances.
Bristow led Oregon in scoring each day, shooting a team low 217 for the weekend. She placed 10th for the Ducks, while Little was shortly behind at 219, which was good enough to tie for 12th.
Edwards, in her first Pac-10 tournament appearance, shot a 225 and tied for 24th. Sophomores Monika Graf and Erica Omlid rounded out the scoring for Oregon, finishing 43rd and 49th, respectively.
Unfortunately, the Pac-10 tournament competition proved to be too much for the young Duck team as they finished in seventh-place overall. No. 2 Arizona State took the team title with No. 4 USC in second and No. 1 UCLA finishing in third.
