The Oregon men’s tennis team concluded their run at the 2009 Pacific-10 Conference Championship tournament in Ojai, Calif., on Saturday afternoon.
In the Invitational bracket, Oregon’s doubles tandem of freshman Jose’ Izquierdo and junior Ric Mortera were the Ducks last remaining competitors before they saw their run cut short at the hands of USC’s Matt Kecki and Andrew Kells, falling 8-5.
Sophomore Duncan MacDonald-Korth had the strongest individual play as he advanced through the first two rounds on opening day, before falling early in day two.
The Ducks, who finished 0-6 in Pac-10 regular season play, will return eight players from this year’s roster next fall. Senior Mike Myrhed will be the only non-returner.
