Oregon senior-to-be softball player Neena Bryant will try out for the U.S. national softball team June 8-12 after being invited by the Amateur Softball Association of America.
Thirty-seven players will try out in Chula Vista, Calif., and Bryant was one of 10 players added to the tryout roster Tuesday.
Bryant played for the U.S. team that won the gold medal at the 2007 World Junior Championships in the Netherlands, where she started eight games and ranked third on the team with 8 RBI.
The tryouts will determine the rosters for the World Cup of Softball in mid-July in Oklahoma City, Okla., among other events.
