Junior-to-be forward Ellie Manou and sophomore-to-be guard Darriel Gaynor have left the Oregon women’s basketball team, according to a release issued by the athletic department.
Manou returned to her home in Sydney, Australia during spring break and did not return to school, opting to use a “missed term exception” from the NCAA to hold her eligibility while she contemplated leaving the school. Gaynor is still enrolled and will complete her term at the University.
Manou started 21 of the 28 games she played in this season, averaging 8.5 points and 4.8 rebounds. Gaynor played in 26 games with one start, averaging 1.3 points and 1.0 rebounds in 10.4 minutes a game.
