The Oregon’s women’s tennis team beat Colorado 4-3, winning its second straight competition Sunday.
Oregon (5-2) lost its first two singles matches of the day to fall to a 3-0 hole before Siobhan Cavan, Pavlina Smatova, Stephanie Macfarlane and Carmen Seremeta all won their singles matches for the win.
Seremeta earned Pacific-10 Conference Player of the Week honors for the second time in UO’s program history for her performance during the week, where she won 6-4, 3-6, 6-0 in the Ducks’ No. 1 spot. The Oregon women stay in Eugene to play Washington State and Ohio State on Feb. 20 and 22.
The Oregon men (5-3) fell to New Mexico Sunday night, 5-2.
The Ducks got wins by Alexander Cornelissen 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) over Graeme Kassautzki and Jose’ Izquierdo came back to win 1-6, 6-4, 12-10.
Oregon travels to Fayetteville, Ark., this weekend to play Arkansas and Wichita State.
