On Sunday afternoon Hillel and StandWithUs will screen “The Case for Israel,” a film based on a book written by Harvard University professor Alan Dershowitz. The film’s producer, Gloria Greenfield, will facilitate a discussion and answer questions.
“The organizers are hoping not only to attract members of the Jewish community, but also members of the Muslim community and others who are interested in the Israeli perspective on the conflict,” Dan Brotman, University junior and Hillel member, wrote in an e-mail. “The film’s message is that peace cannot be achieved in the region until Israel’s right to exist is recognized, which is causing the rift between Hamas and the rest of the world.”
The film screening will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday in 177 Lawrence. Admission is free. Learn more about the film at thecaseforisrael.com.
Next month, the Multicultural Center presents “The War in Palestine.”
