Oregon women’s golf finished tied for seventh at the season-opening Kiawah Island Classic tournament in Kiawah Island, S.C., on Tuesday by shooting the second-lowest team score for a round in the tournament.
The Ducks fired a collective 296 to finish with an overall score of 917 in the three-round tournament. Their mark Tuesday was 14 strokes better than its previous best of the tournament.
Oregon had all four of its scorers shoot tournament-bests Tuesday, including Monika Graf’s even-par 72, Cathryn Bristow’s one-over 73, Felicia Eastick’s three-over 75 and Erica Omlid’s 77.
It was the second time in the tournament that Graf led the team with its lowest round, although Bristow finished as the low individual for the Ducks, finishing 24th.
