Department of Public Safety officers arrested a male suspect on Thursday morning after he broke into a Street Faire booth at 12:41 a.m.
DPS said the suspect stole a knit cap, leather belt and several rings from the booth. DPS is still investigating the theft, but the vendor, Saya Arts, plans to press charges.
The suspect was arrested on an outstanding warrant and is being held in Lane County Jail. It is unknown whether he is a University student.
Crowd Management Services patrolled the Street Faire, which ends today, during the off-hours of the faire’s three-day run.
