The No. 22 Oregon Ducks continued their fast start to the 2008-2009 school year with a win at the Giustina Memorial Classic at Trysting Tree Golf Course in Corvallis on Tuesday.
Led by junior Kendra Little, Oregon dominated the tournament, winning by 25 strokes over Washington State.
In the individual competition, Little shot a 72 in the final round to win by nine strokes. Little shot a 2-under, 214 for the tournament and the win was her second straight this year. She was also the winner of the Giustina event last year.
Little’s teammates also put up good scores, with freshman Cheyenne Hickle tying for third place with a 8-over, 224. Three other Oregon players placed in the top 15 with senior Kate Hildahl, sophomore Ashley Edwards and junior Erica Omild all tying for 14th at 233 strokes.
