More information has been released about a Eugene Police Department dispatch log entry that reported a backpack found Sunday night was full of University student information.
EPD spokeswoman Jenna LaBounty said the bag officers found was owned by a University student, whose identity has yet to be released and only contained that student’s information. The bag, which was discovered near Kentfield Apartments along Country Club Road, was just one of the items police found Sunday. EPD and the Emerald reported Tuesday that the backpack contained information about multiple students.
LaBounty said a number of items that have been reported missing from the apartment complex in the last few months were also found in an area near the building. EPD is now returning the items to their owners. No information about a suspect in the incident has been released.
