Incident: Armed robbery
Location: 2019 River Road
When: Thursday, Jan. 15
Time: 7:49 p.m.
What: CJ’s Eatery was robbed for the second time since November, according to an EPD news release. A man entered the restaurant and pointed a handgun at an employee and demanded cash. The suspect left the eatery once he had obtained an unknown amount of money. The first robbery, which occurred Nov. 9 at about 11 a.m., involved two men who also carried handguns. No suspects in either case have been found.

Westmoreland Park
When: Friday, Jan. 16
Time: 8:02 a.m.
What: Between the play structure and tennis courts at Westmoreland Park, a Saturn sedan was found stuck in the mud. Four male juveniles tried to remove the vehicle. It is unknown if the four males arrived in a separate car or if they are responsible for the incident. The vehicle has since been removed.

Location: 1690 W. 18th Ave., 7-Eleven
When: Friday, Jan. 16
Time: 9 a.m.
What: Two white males on bikes stole a case of Monster Energy drinks estimated to cost $34. A store employee reported that she overheard the two men talking about coming back to steal more.

When: Sunday, Jan. 18
Time: 3:56 p.m.
What: A backpack filled with University students’ information was found along with a laptop bag. EPD reported that the information is believed to have been stolen from a number of vehicles in the area. The owner of the backpack has not been found. EPD has not released further information concerning the
