At the 3rd Ashes2Ashes event in Eugene, 32 b-boys came from all over the Northwest to compete for the $500 prize. While the 2009 event at UO showcased 1-vs-1 battles, most b-boys come from a crew who they compete with. B-boy and UO sophomore Hoang Pham, aka Donkey Kong, usually competes with his crew, Moon Patrol. This year’s event is one of the few times he has been in a 1-vs-1 battle, but he says it will help improve his performance with his crew in future battles.

Oregon volleyball setter August Raskie shines both on and off the court for her athletic prowess and her artistic sense of creativity that makes her who she is.
