Does anyone find it odd that, during the public relations nightmare that the University is currently experiencing nationally in its sports department, the new arena being built right in our own city by the University is in the practice of hiring their skilled workforce from the Seattle and Portland area?
There are more than enough skilled and well-trained local people available. What a shame that companies like Anning Johnson, Pence Kelly, and Hoffman are all allowed to do this.
I would think that the University would realize that by using a local workforce, the money earned in this area would be spent in this area.
Consider this, University: What if the citizens of this area decided to outsource our children’s higher education? How would you feel?
