Recently, our student union experienced a heinous attack that touches every student at this University. In the week since the vandalism, the LGBTQA and other groups housed within the EMU have responded courageously. They are a great source of pride for the University and EMU Board of Directors. Students, faculty, staff and guests continue to provide exceptional programming despite the assault, and we are inspired to see that such an attack cannot stop the efforts of student groups on our campus.
The EMU Board of Directors supports every member of our campus community and will continue to strive for the safest union possible. We encourage members of the community to continue their support for our exceptional student union.
Thank you, LGBTQA and others, for your unwavering dedication to making our campus an enriching place for us all. A union is at its best when its students advocate for issues that strengthen the University community, and the force of your response proves that right now, our student union is stronger than ever.
