I strongly agree with the Daily Emerald’s Editorial, “Measures Are A Step Backward For Oregon” (Nov. 4, 2010); sick citizens should have better availability of the God-given plant (see the first page of the Bible) cannabis (marijuana).
One thing that may help is for the federal government to change cannabis’ classification from a Schedule I substance, along with heroin, to a lesser level. Meth and cocaine are only Schedule II substances. Schedules III or IV would allow cannabis to be sold at health food stores along with other healing herbs.
