The Oregon men’s golf team concluded play at The Prestige at PGA West golf tournament in 12th place Tuesday afternoon.
The Ducks trailed Pacific-10 Conference foe and tournament champion California by 34 total strokes, which took home the team title with an even-par 864 at the 54-hole event. Other Pac-10 teams finished in the top 10 included No. 21 Stanford and No. 7 Washington (tied for second), and Arizona State (fifth).
Junior Eugene Wong passed teammate Daniel Miernicki on the leader board, finishing 25th overall with a three-day total of 222, while Miernicki finished in a six-way tie for 26th. Other Ducks finishers were senior Isaiah Telles (t-47th), junior Robbie Ziegler (t-50th), and senior Jack Dukeminier (t-67th).
Stanford’s Andrew Yun took home the individual crown with a 7-under-par 65 final round to bring his three-day total to 204. Arizona State’s Thomas Buran finished second (210), and Cal’s Ben An (211) took third.
Oregon’s fall season will continue next week when the Ducks travel to the Alister MacKenzie Invitational hosted by Cal at the Meadow Club in Fairfax, Calif.
