As a salaried employee, hours will vary, but Web developers must be able to work an average of 20 hours per week. Web developers will work with the Web editor to create new functionality for the newspaper’s website.
Preferred applicants will have experience with PHP, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML, CSS, WordPress (core, as well as theme and plugin development), MySQL, NoSQL, REST APIs, Linux/Unix, and/or Git.
Most of the work done by the Web developer will involve long-term development of the framework of the website, with some short-term projects.
