How/Why do you want to change the world?
I am pursuing a Masters in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley. I hope to study infectious disease and vaccinology as an epidemiologist to improve the health and well-being of all people.
What are you proud to have been involved with at University of Oregon?
I am proud to work as a Research Assistant at the Stress Neurobiology and Prevention (SNAP) research laboratory on campus. The lab focuses on characterizing childhood stress impacts on development, employing clinical trials, and impacting policy. I am so lucky to have worked at this lab for over a year.
Who is your biggest role model and why?
My sister is my biggest role model. Her determination, work ethic and selflessness as an environmental lawyer inspires me to change the world for the better.
What are your goals after college?
When I finish college in June, I will start working towards my Master of Public Health. While I continue school, I hope to work as a medical scribe, EMT, or medical literature researcher.
Which fictional character is most like yourself?
This is a tough one! I think Hermione Granger for her earnestness, her overachieving nature, and her sense of adventure. But close in the running may be Anne from Anne of Green Gables.
What is one fun fact about you?
I’ve ran a marathon, and I am training for my first 50 mile ultramarathon race!
