On the first game of the regular season and Ruthy Hebard’s homecoming, No. 3 Oregon blew out Alaska Fairbanks by 79 points on Monday. Sabrina Ionescu tallied her 11th career triple-double, with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists.
Payton Pritchard and Bol Bol shined in No. 14 Oregon’s first regular season game against Portland State, beating the Vikings 84-57.
Oregon softball suffered another hit from transfer students. Mary Iakopo, who was set to be the starting catcher, announced she would be leaving the program. Iakopo joins Miranda Elish and Lauren Burke (both to Texas) as the third player to transfer after former coach Mike White left to coach Texas this offseason.
