The Oregon acrobatics and tumbling squad closed out the regular season with a win over Fairmont State on Saturday.
The Ducks ended the regular season with a 286.240-277.570 victory heading into next week’s NCATA National Championships, which will be held at Matthew Knight Arena beginning April 7.
Oregon claimed five of the six events in the duel with Fairmont State, beginning with a narrow victory in the compulsories that featured all four heats carding at least a 9.85.
The team went on to sweep all three heats in the ensuing stunts event, but was defeated in the pyramids, 28.9-28.7, to cut Oregon’s lead heading into halftime.
The Ducks picked up wins in the basket toss and tumbling events after intermission, before ending the competition with a 106.13-102.34 victory in the team routine. It was the second time in the past three duels that Oregon carded a score higher than 106 in the team routine.
Earlier in the week, Oregon was handed its first loss of the season when the top-ranked Maryland Terrapins edged the Ducks by less than two points in College Park, Md., on Thursday.
Oregon outlasted Quinnipiac, 289.204-281.669, for its fifth-straight victory Monday.
Seeding for the NCATA Championships will be announced early this week.
