The No. 37 Oregon women’s golf team took the team title at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate tournament in Half Moon Bay, Calif., on Tuesday afternoon.
The Ducks shot a final round of 290, which was a tournament best, to finish with a three-round total of 891 to claim the team crown one stroke ahead of No. 27 Texas A&M in the 12-team tournament.
No. 17 UC Davis and Long Beach State tied for third at 905.
Junior Ashley Edwards paced the Ducks individually as she finished in a tie for second place overall after starting the final round in a tie for 21st. The Oakley, Calif., native shot a tournament low 4-under 68 on the final round to tie Long Beach State’s Noelle Zavaleta at 220 for the two-day tournament.
Oregon’s Raphaela Dyer and Cheyenne Hickle finished in a three-way tie for 10th with Long Beach State’s Reina Rogers at 224 for the tournament. Following closely behind in a tie for 13th was senior Springfield native Erica Omlid, while fellow senior Kendra Little rounded out the Oregon scoring with 55th-place finish after shooting a 12-over 84 in the second round.
Looking ahead, the Ducks will turn their focus to the Pacific-10 Conference Championships, set to begin on April 17 at the ASU Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, Ariz.
