Essex Construction, in association with Von Klein Property Management, is tearing down a quarter block full of houses at 17th and Pearl to make way for a new multi-story development. Von Klein has allegedly prematurely terminated the leases of occupants of theses houses to begin construction on the project. Crews had torn down most of the buildings by the time I got there but I still managed to get a couple of shots of the action. Be sure to read more about it in the article, slated for Tuesday.
