The Oregon women’s track and field team has earned the nation’s No. 1 ranking in the May 31 poll released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Ducks rose up two spots from No. 3 after showing strong in the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds this past weekend, as 13 individuals and two relay teams qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Behind Oregon at No. 2 is Texas A&M, which held the top spot last week. LSU, ranked No. 2 in the nation, checks in at No. 3 this week; Arkansas and Oklahoma claim the next two spots. @@http://www.ustfccca.org/rankings/division-i-rankings@@
Texas A&M remains ranked No. 1 on the men’s side, with Florida, Florida State, LSU and Texas Tech rounding out the top five. The Men of Oregon moved up one spot, to No. 13, this week.
