The No. 27 Oregon women’s golf team finished the third and final round of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in 10th place overall at the Rio Mar Beach Resort.
The Ducks completed the tournament with a score of 58-over-par after a round of 14-over-par Tuesday. They were 47 strokes behind the University of Alabama, the tournament champions.
Leading Oregon was Cheyenne Hickle, who shot 2-over-par Tuesday, bringing her tournament total to 12-over-par. That was 16 strokes behind tournament winner Stephanie Meadow of Alabama. Hickle was Oregon’s lowest scorer in the tournament, and she finished in a tie for 26th place in the individual competition.
Erica Omlid finished tied for 40th after a final round 3-over-par 75 brought her tournament total to 16-over-par. Ashley Edwards and Kendra Little both tied for 47th place after a 6-over-par 78 and 3-over-par 75, respectively. Both Edwards and Little shot 18-over-par for the tournament.
Raphaela Dyer rounded out Oregon’s grouping with a final round of 81 for a tournament score of 20-over-par, good enough for a tie for 59th overall.
Oregon will return to action Feb. 28 in San Jose, Calif., at the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational.
