In a meeting with Robin Holmes to discuss pending changes to the Office of Multicultural Academic Success, the UO Truth Coalition issued several demands and questions to Holmes in hopes of establishing a student voice in OMAS’ transition to the Center of Multicultural Academic Excellence.
Students in support of the Office of Multicultural Academic Success (OMAS) protest the organization’s potential transition into the Center for Multicultural Academic Excellence (CMAE). Many students voiced their concerns at the meeting held in the EMU’s Fir Room–concerns primarily focused on the lack of transparency in the transformation process and the loss of scholarships, advisors, and lounges from OMAS.
