After trailing by as many as 9 points to the Eagles of Eastern Washington (EWU), Oregon took control in the second half to defeat EWU 73-65. The Ducks struggled to find rhythm during the first half trailing by five during the break. The Eagles would jump quickly in the second half, bringing that lead to 9 points, but that would be the extend of the damage. Slowly the Ducks fought back with the help of a key play by Johnathan Loyd who scored, picked up a turn-over, and scored again to bring the Ducks their first lead of the night. Oregon did soar above Eastern Washington, but the lead was sufficient to get the win. Oregon is now 1-1 and plays SE Missouri State on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
