The sports staff is back after a long (but totally worthwhile) trip to Palo Alto over the weekend. As you well know by now, Oregon blew by the Cardinal 53-30 on Saturday night, and now rank No. 4 in the BCS Standings. On this Monday morning, the media and Ducks alike are squeezing the last bit of satisfaction out of the Stanford victory and moving on to what will be another challenging game against No. 18 USC this Saturday.
On to the links:
– Grantland has a cool post up this morning that breaks down LaMichael James’ 58 yard touchdown in the second quarter on Saturday. After all of this time, I still don’t totally understand Chip Kelly’s offense, so this was really interesting.
– The Register Guard’s Rob Moseley and Adam Jude talked Stanford in their always entertaining Postgame Brew show. As it’s been for the past few weeks, there wasn’t actually a postgame brew. #freethepostgamebrew
-Moseley also sets the stage for the USC game this week.
– Matt Barkley isn’t very impressed with the Ducks this year, at least compared to last season.
– Kirk Herbstreit is very excited about the Ducks after their win over Stanford. Posting this was mostly an excuse to show one of my favorite videos this season:
