After an inexcusably long layoff, we’re back with Hitting the Links this week. Oregon is coming off of an impressive win over No. 18 Arizona State, and faces what amounts to a cakewalk this week at Colorado. The only downside to the weekend was Darron Thomas going down with a knee injury, but the prognosis for return sounds encouraging, and The Oregonian reported that Thomas was in high spirits yesterday. With that, on to the links:
-Chip Kelly, on the other hand, was not in high spirits after the game Saturday:

Surely, by now, you’ve seen this video. But I couldn’t resist linking to it again. Just too priceless. It was almost like Kelly was using those fans to sound off on everything that has bothered him this year. “Will you shut up” could address so many people in Kelly’s public life: the media, those boosters who wish he would pay more attention to them, Willie Lyles.
Those rambunctious fans were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
– Great post game analysis from The Register-Guard, including late-night drinking.
– The Ducks have opened up as 32.5 point favorites against Colorado. Really, how would the Pac-10 have survived without adding the Buffaloes?
– The Oregonian’s Aaron Fentress grades the Ducks at midseason. The team comes out with a 3.25 GPA. I don’t have a joke to make.
