The Oregon Cross Country team’s first and only home meet at the Springfield Country Club ended with strong individual performances on both sides, but with a mixed overall team showing. The Oregon women turned in a dominant performance, despite not having the talent of last year’s Pac-10 Women’s Cross Country Champion Jordan Hasay racing, easily taking overall team honors with five finishers in the top ten. The men’s side of things was a radically different story for the Ducks, with the No. 2 ranked Wisconsin Badgers coasting to victory. The Badger men, despite first place individually going to Southern Utah University’s Cameron Levins, had a stranglehold on the competition with five runners in the top seven. The University of Idaho’s Hannah Kiser won the Women’s 5k Run with a time of 16:45.71. The Ducks next meet will be at the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational in Madison, Wisconsin on Oct. 14.
