I’ll be heading out to practice in a bit, and will hopefully have a few things to report on that, but in the meantime I thought it would be good to give readers a quick primer on what to expect on this blog.
We’re still working out exactly what will be posted on here as the season goes on, but our primary goal is to make this as fun and interactive as possible, while still remaining informative.
With that in mind, here are some posts you should see on a regular basis:
• Basic practice reports with (hopefully) video
• “Monday Musings,” in which we present you a slew of miscellaneous thoughts that didn’t make it to print on the Monday after games
• A Sunday “morning after” column in which we hand pick a few of the best stories or columns about Saturday’s game. If something controversial or thought-provoking is written (which is often the case), we’ll offer our thoughts and ask what you think
• Live chats, if there is enough interest and we do not end up talking to ourselves
• A Friday “quotes of the week” column which will surely be filled almost exclusively by Chip Kelly and Cliff Harris
• Predictions every Friday about the outcome of that Saturday’s game, in which we’ll offer a bit more than just a final score
• And, finally, a “Chip Kelly Surliness Meter” to measure the Oregon head coach’s wide array of moods while dealing with the media.
Those are just a few of the ideas we have in mind. If there’s something you want to see, let us know.
