With practice closed once again, it’s going to be a light-hearted edition of Hitting the Links today. We already brought you a look at Oregon’s uniforms for next week’s LSU game, but here are a few more pieces you might enjoy.
In this ESPN interview, Chip Kelly made a valiant effort to limit every answer to ten words or less. Still an enjoyable read.
Kelly also filmed an ESPN College Gameday promo spot, which debuted today.
In news that has a bit more to do with actual football, ESPN Pac-12 blogger Ted Miller has Darron Thomas ranked No. 3 on his list of the top 25 Pac-12 players. High praise, but well deserved after a 2010 season that could almost be classified as underrated.
Though we’re in danger of making this an “all-ESPN” post, this PAc-12 Coaches poll is a must read. Some highlights: Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian is a Jay-Z fan; Kelly had the lowest salary at his first coaching job ($4,000 at Columbia University); and Washington State coach Paul Wulff’s hobby that might surprise people is “farm animals“. Also, Arizona’s Mike Stoops claims he is the best dressed coach in the conference. Surely, he is referring to this photo.
Okay, I can’t let this become a billboard for the Worldwide Leader, so here’s a breakdown of fall camp by position from Rob Moseley. A must read for the die hards, as always.
