We’re officially shut out of practice from now until the LSU game, so there won’t be much to report on. Nonetheless, here are a few worthwhile links from today:
Former Duck Lache Seastrunk sat down for an interview with 1660 ESPN Radio in Waco, Texas, stating that when he left Oregon, “I felt like something was about to go down, and God wanted me to get up out of there.” Most will assume this has something to do with the NCAA investigation involving Seastrunk, but I wouldn’t jump to that conclusion right away. The kid has a lot going on in his life. You can listen to the full interview here and judge for yourself.
The Register-Guard’s George Schroeder writes that, despite Chip Kelly’s claims to the contrary, LSU-Oregon might as well be a bowl game. Getting excited yet? (Also, did you know Oregon makes $1.75 million off this game, and LSU $3.5 million? So even if Oregon loses, it comes out ahead)
Rob Moseley, meanwhile, focuses on defensive coordinator Nick Aliotti in his notebook today. In light of LSU’s recent legal troubles, Aliotti made clear that “we’re going to prepare for LSU like they’re all going to play.”
The Oregonian’s Lindsay Schnell writes about Dior Mathis’ transition to receiver. Definitely something to watch as the season approaches.
