Exactly two weeks from today, the Ducks and Badgers will (finally) meet in the Rose Bowl. As is the case with any BCS bowl, the time in between games has become a bit maddening. We’re 14 days out, and already I’m pining for them to just play the damn thing already. And yet, I digress.
It’s Monday, and as always, we have a fresh batch of links:
– The Register-Guard’s Adam Jude tackles… well, Oregon’s defensive tackles today, with a focus on how they’ll match up with Wisconsin’s mammoth offensive line.
-Also from The Guard: A couple more editions of “Ask a Duck,” this time with LaMichael James and John Boyett.
– Sports Illustrated’s Stewart Mandel ranks the Bowl games from best to worst, and has the Rose Bowl at third behind the BCS National Championship Game (Alabama-LSU) and the Fiesta Bowl (Stanford-Oklahoma State). I disagree slightly — in terms of entertainment, I’m thoroughly convinced that Oregon-Wisconsin will be a better game than Alabama-LSU. I tend to enjoy football more when teams, you know, score.
– LaMichael James maintains that he has yet to make a decision in regards to the NFL draft. Meanwhile, John Boyett and Carson York intend to return for their senior seasons. York, when asked whether he would request a draft evaluation, told The Register-Guard: “I don’t want official documentation telling me I suck.” One of the quotes of the year, right there.
