As I type this from the desk in our hotel room, I can look out the window to my left and watch a sea of cars flow by on the highway as an early afternoon haze begins to descend. Yep, we’re definitely in Los Angeles.
Five of us — three reporters and two photographers — will be here in the City Of Angels from now through Monday’s Rose Bowl. We’ve got plenty of manpower, and as such, you can expect extensive coverage throughout — starting with tomorrow’s media day festivities.
We plan to be there for just about everything. Though it would be shocking if anyone actually had something interesting to say (if there’s one thing I learned from last year’s national championship game, it’s that by this point everyone is just ready to play the damn game), we plan to do our best to give you all of the pertinent updates. If Mark Asper saves someone else’s life with the Heimlich Maneuver, or LaMichael James decides to ride another roller coaster, you can expect to hear from us. And on a more serious note, we’ll be providing breakdowns of the game’s most crucial matchups and what to watch for come Monday afternoon.
It should be fun, so be sure to check in each day for the latest updates.
