The State Board of Higher Education will convene a special meeting on Friday, Dec. 9, to appoint the interim president who will replace University President Richard Lariviere following his Dec. 28 departure.
The meeting will commence at 4 p.m. at Portland State University in room 515 of the Student Academic and Recreation Center. The meeting will be broadcast over the Internet here, and will be open to the public.
People attending the meeting are encouraged to arrive well in advance as a strong turnout is expected.
