What a fun week!
No., really — I got to play reporter and photographer this week,
instead of just
angry boss. What fun!
I don’t want to be a reporter. Ever. It’s not that I don’t like
people or
anything, it’s just that I don’t like talking to them most of the time.
And
with interviewing, the best questions are always the ones you think of
as
you’re walking away.
But as for being a photographer, well, I think I may have missed my
calling.
I always thought I might feel hesitant to intrude on people’s private
space,
even if they’re in a public area. But in actuality, there’s nothing
more
fun. What’s better is I can hide behind my camera when I’m treading on
intrusiveness, and quickly move on before anyone can stop me. Unlike
reporting, I don’t have to beat the good stuff out of people — I just
see
it, shoot it and keep moving.
But I guess, in the end, being the boss still gives me the greatest
satisfaction. I mean, really, how else could I always get my way?
OK, so I don’t exactly always get my way. But at least I have a
final say
then, right?
Right?
