The full University of Oregon’s men’s basketball 2023-2024 schedule, including start times and television assignments, was released earlier Thursday morning. The Ducks have 16 games set to air on national television, along with 16 home games hosted at Matthew Knight Arena.
To kick off the season on Nov. 6, Oregon plays Georgia at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, as part of the Hall of Fame Series. The 1:30 p.m. neutral site matchup will be aired on truTV. The last matchup between these two teams was back in 1975, when the Ducks defeated the Bulldogs 87-74.
During the 2022-2023 regular season, Oregon went 21–15 and 12–8 in Pac-12 play to finish in 4th place. The Ducks beat Washington State in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 tournament before losing handedly to UCLA in the semifinals. The last time Oregon made it to the NCAA tournament was in 2021, where the team had a strong run up until the Sweet Sixteen. Oregon fans will wait to see if head coach Dana Altman can make some magic happen out of this strong schedule and showcase some talent from this team.
Action in MKA commences on Nov. 10 against Montana at 6 p.m and continues against Tennessee State the following week. Over Thanksgiving break, Oregon flies down to Florida to play Florida A&M and compete in the Emerald Coast Classic. During the tournament, the Ducks will take on Santa Clara and either Alabama or Ohio State on Nov. 24 and 25, respectively.
Some of the team’s most notable non-conference matchups will be held in December, including hosting Michigan on Dec. 2 and facing Syracuse on Dec. 17.
Oregon begins Pac-12 play against USC on Dec. 28. Tip off against the Trojans is set for 6:00 p.m. on ESPN2. Two days later, the Ducks host UCLA at MKA, and begin the new year in Washington to play both the UW Huskies and Washington State Cougars. Oregon will welcome Cal for one game on January 13th before beginning a midwest road trip to face Colorado and Utah in mid-January. The Ducks should play well against the Golden Bears, but the Buffalos and Utes should be a bit more challenging of a game.
Oregon returns home at the end of the month to host Arizona State and Arizona, which will feature a 2:30 pm tip-off against the Wildcats on FOX. The Ducks face rivals Oregon State in Corvallis, Oregon, on Feb. 17, following four Pac-12 matchups in California and Washington. After two games in the Bay Area, Oregon will have home court advantage against the Beavers on Feb. 28. The start time is set for 8 p.m. and will be carried by FS1. The Ducks will need full fan support, given the result of last year’s scoreline versus Oregon State.
The Ducks conclude the season with a contest against Arizona on March 2, before the final home stand games against Colorado on the 7th and Utah on the 9th.
Once again, the Pac-12 Tournament will be held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. from March 13-16. The Pac-12 Tournament games will be carried on the Pac-12 Network, FS1 or FOX.
