The 5-foot-7 Vancouver, Washington native averaged 24.1 points per game last season for BMCC in Pendleton, Oregon while being named player of the year for her conference.
“I was definitely stoked and very surprised to get some of these great schools to look at me,” Moore said. “… The Ducks were probably one of my first looks, they looked at me and I looked at them. It was my first D-I offer. I thought about it a lot, just with other schools.”
She told Erik Skopil of the Eastern Oregonian that she plans to sign her NLI tomorrow at 12 p.m. Wednesday marked the beginning of basketball’s regular signing period.
“I felt (head coach) Kelly [Graves] really wanted me,” Moore said. “I’m excited to be at home to support where I was raised.”
Moore said she’s confident the Ducks will be able to taste success in the future with a talented signing class and feels she will fit into the program “very well.”
Moore said she selected the Ducks over East Carolina, Boise, Idaho State, USF and Portland State.
“I love the campus,” Moore said. “The girls that I talked to, they seemed really friendly. I really bonded with them.”
