A speech by MIT Professor Henry Jenkins scheduled for Wednesday night has been canceled, according to an e-mail sent out by the Oregon Humanities Center, which was sponsoring the event.
Jenkins, who was to speak on the convergence of media and pop culture, is ill and will be unable to make the trip to Oregon, according to the e-mail, which was sent by Melissa Gustafson, the program coordinator for the Humanities Center.
Gustafson said the center hopes to reschedule Jenkins’ vist, but that it is unsure when that will be possible.
