The Oregon men’s golf team sits in last place midway through the second round of the Ping Arizona Intercollegiate tournament in Tucson, Ariz., Monday.
The Ducks are 36 over par, tied with California for 16th in the 16-team tournament.
Individually, Oregon is led by Landon Banks, who is tied for 38th at three over par, and followed by Jay Snyder (tied for 56th at five over par).
Other Ducks in the tournament are Chris Dukeminier (73rd at 11 over par), Dustin Pewarchuk (79th at 14 over par) and Ted Whitney (tied for 85th at 18 over par).
Brigham Young leads the tournament at 37 under par, followed by host Arizona at 34 under par.
The second round was suspended because of darkness. The second and third rounds will complete the tournament today beginning at 8 a.m.
New Mexico won the event last year with a team score of 12 under par. Arizona State’s Alejandro Canizares won the individual title with an 11-under-par performance.
