Oregon softball’s Hailey Decker was named Pac-12 Player of the Week, while Lauren Lindvall was selected conference Freshman of the Week, the Pac-12 announced Monday.
Decker hit .700 at the plate for the Ducks over the week, as Oregon swept No. 18 California in the final regular season series of the year. She went 7-for-10 at the place, clubbing two doubles, two home runs and notching eight RBIs. She went 2-for-3 on Friday, helping the Ducks to a 5-2 win.
During Sunday’s win, Decker was 4-f0r-4 from the plate, including a homer and four RBI.
Lindvall played in two games for head coach Mike White over the weekend, including a perfect 3-for-3 performance at the plate on Saturday. She homered twice. Both were solo shots of the first pitch of each at bat to lead off the second and third innings. She added an RBI single to finish with three on the day.
In the series finale, Lindvall was 1-for-3, scoring another run. On the weekend, she had an errorless 1.000 fielding percentage.
The honors for Decker and Lindvall are their first-career weekly recognitions. Monday marks the eighth straight week the Pac-12 has recognized a Duck in its three weekly awards.
Oregon hits the road for the final weekend of the regular season, with a series at Arizona starting Thursday.
